Sept. 5, 2012, Baltimore, MD – E.J. Conlin has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications of RLTV, the only cable network designed and built for the 50+ audience. In this role, she is leading and managing all phases of marketing, communications, social media and advertising outreach efforts. She is responsible for brand strategy development, coordination and execution across the company, including developing creative and media strategies, and leveraging and maximizing advertising and promotional investments.
Conlin joined RLTV as Vice President of Marketing in 2008. Prior to joining RLTV, she was Vice President of Consumer Marketing for National Geographic Channel, where she developed and implemented comprehensive strategic consumer marketing plans directed at building audience delivery, as well as the channel’s image among consumer communities. She also led NatGeo’s national Emmy-award winning public affairs campaign, Preserve Our Planet. Before joining National Geographic Channel, she spent eleven years at Disney and ESPN Media Networks, including six years as Vice President of Affiliate Marketing.
“E.J. has a keen understanding of marketing principles and brand strategy development. Equally important, EJ is both highly detail and execution focused,” said RLTV President and CEO Paul FitzPatrick. “This is particularly important for independent networks such as RLTV which don’t have the resources most of our peers have, with their sibling networks resources, for example. As such, our need for experienced leaders who possess creative, laser sharp execution skills is all the more critical to meeting our customer and shareholder expectations in timely and cost effective ways.”
"This is an exciting time of growth and change for RLTV, which is uniquely positioned to serve the 50+ community,” said Conlin. “I am honored by this promotion and energized by the prospect of using the most effective marketing strategies possible to fulfill RLTV’s mission of serving the experienced and knowledgeable 50+ audience.”
Prior to her work at Disney and ESPN Media Networks, Conlin held a variety of marketing positions at Arnold Communications. She began her career as an account executive at Davidoff, White & Good Advertising.
Conlin is an active board member of the Washington/Baltimore Chapter of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), a graduate of the WICT/Betsy Magness Leadership Institute/Center for Creative Leadership program and an active member of CTAM, where she has served as a Mark Awards Committee Member. Conlin has received a variety of cable industry honors for her marketing leadership.
RLTV (www.rl.tv) is the only network designed and built for the 50+ audience, offering a unique brand of programming and content that mature, experienced and knowledgeable viewers appreciate and desire. The network’s Emmy Award-winning programming focuses on everything from financial planning and second careers to travel and entertainment; from health and wellness to volunteerism and community-building.
