Press Release

HOST OF ‘STANLEY ON THE GO’ HAS PASSED AWAY

January 6, 2016, Baltimore, MD – Stanley Siegel, host of Stanley on the Go, passed away January 2 due to complications with pneumonia. He was 79 years old.

Stanley Siegel was a lifelong broadcaster, best known for his groundbreaking interview style. Throughout his career, he worked across the country for local stations and for national TV networks on shows such as the Emmy-nominated The Stanley Siegel Show (WABC and WCBS in New York), A.M. New York (WABC), America Talks Back (Lifetime), and Stanley Tonight (KUSI-TV in San Diego). Stanley pioneered a new style of unpredictable, edgy, and funny interviews, which still resonates today.

As both host and producer, Stanley brought his irrepressible spirit and natural irreverence to the four seasons of his show Stanley on the Go on RLTV. Stanley loved to travel the world and to speak with everyone he met.. Stanley rode motorbikes in Moscow, climbed to the top of Sydney Harbor Bridge, joined a mosh pit at a Japanese punk rock show, and rode the rapids in Brazil, interviewing people he met along the way. Stanley and his inspirational show embodied the belief that travel “at a certain age” isn’t all bingo and shuffleboard.

The final season of Stanley on the Go will premiere on January 26 at 10:00PM ET.
