September 29, 2015, Baltimore, MD - RLTV, the only cable network and online destination for Generation 50+, inspires viewers this weekend to 'Rediscover' their passions with the premiere of A Taste of History: World Travels on Sunday, October 4 (10:00PM ET). This hour-long special is the highlight of a 'Rediscovery Weekend' filled with inspirational episodes of RLTV Lifestyle Originals, including Stanley on the Go. 

A Taste of History: World Travels focuses on host Chef Walter Staib's mouth-watering adventures outside of the US: in Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, and Africa. Chef Staib checks out local markets, makes traditional dishes, and discusses their historical significance.  

Some highlights from the special include:

  • Cooking Ben Franklin's own recipes in his London home
  • Understanding the early spice trade while making a stew in the fields of South Africa
  • Learning how pineapple was used in the 18th century while visiting a pineapple farm in Antigua

A Taste of History: World Travels premiere is 10:00PM ET this Sunday and repeats on Thursday, October 8 at 9:00PM ET.
