Press Release

BALTIMORE – April 4, 2011 – RLTV and Meals On Wheels Association of America join forces to present a transformative half-hour series combining the excitement of a cook-off with the poignancy of real-life drama. Meals (working title) takes us inside an organization that provides a life-saving service for aging Americans in all fifty states.

The show will feature celebrity guests who experience the fast-paced, inspiring, and fulfilling work of a Meals On Wheels volunteer: juggling the preparation of hundreds of meals and the challenging logistics of delivering them, all while racing against the clock. We quickly realize that this is about something far richer than mere meal delivery, for both the recipients and the celebrity volunteers.

“We are proud to be partnering with RLTV to produce this show,” said MOWAA President and CEO Enid Borden. “They are a television network that truly understands why providing our seniors with nutritious meals is not only important but it is also our moral imperative as Americans.”

“Meals on Wheels provide over a million meals a day as well as bringing essential social and emotional connections. RLTV is thrilled to partner with them to extend those connections,” said Elliot Jacobson, SVP Programming for RLTV. “Meals (WT) is an engaging and emotionally compelling show in which celebrity volunteers personalize the transformative experience of the Meals on Wheels volunteer.”

RLTV is casting both male and female celebrity personalities from a variety of backgrounds:  TV, film, musicians, and athletes. Production for the series will take place in LA, Baltimore, Richmond, and Orlando. For casting information contact Shane Casting 323.468.6888,
