March 18, 2015, Baltimore, MD - RLTV, the only cable network and online destination for Generation 50+, hosts the Cable Network Premiere of the new season of A Taste of History on March 25th. In this season’s 12 episodes, Chef Walter Staib takes a step back in time to understand our colonial history through the ingredients and the dishes from our culinary past.

Some highlights of the season:

  • Chef Staib gives a personal tour of his own restaurant City Tavern, which was George Washington’s headquarters during the Revolutionary War
  • The show heads to The Jefferson Pools in Hot Springs, Virginia where Chef Staib retraces the path of 22 presidents at the historic Omni Homestead and cooks with the resort’s chefs
  • Chef Staib bakes gingerbread recipes inspired by George Washington’s Baker General, who brought the traditional ginger and molasses treats from his native Germany
