About the Host

Michael Weishan

In addition to hosting The Victory Garden, Michael Weishan has lent his gardening expertise to many other programs, including The Today Show and the CBS Early Show. Before venturing into TV, Michael hosted his own weekly National Public Radio program, The Cultivated Gardener, from 1999-2001. Outside the world of electronic media, Michael runs his own successful landscape design firm and has authored three books about gardening. A contributor to numerous national magazines and periodicals over the last decade, Weishan is the former Gardening Editor of both Country Living and New Old House magazines. Michael is also a popular speaker on the garden lecture circuit, entertaining audiences with his trademark sense of humor and 35 years of gardening experience.
